You can find versions of this recipe all over the place. Because it’s good. I will say, though, that looking at the ingredient list, maybe I should call these Continental Rolls (Hawaiian, Swiss, French and English ingredients).
24 sweet Hawaiian rolls
½ pound sliced Swiss cheese
1 pound sliced honey ham
1 pound sliced honey ham
½ cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons poppy seeds
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Slice rolls in half using a serrated knife. Arrange bottom halves of rolls in a large glass baking dish and top with ham and cheese. Replace top halves of rolls.
In a medium bowl, mix melted butter, mustard, poppy seeds, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined. Drizzle the sauce over top of the rolls. Cover with aluminum foil and allow to sit for at least one hour (or overnight).
Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Serve warm or at room temperature.
